I remembered Lolita b/c it was near the hotel that I stayed at during my last trip:) The train sounds like the bus system up here -- it's not very convenient but the parking rates will drain the wallet too much. It never leaves at convenient times and is extremely slow. For lower Manhattan, I usually drive. However, in this case, the train would have kicked driving's ass. But you're right.
